SEO + AI Search Proposal

Two sites, a new front in search,
and the assistant already live on yours.

What we heard on the call

You said you wanted to dip a toe in — try AI on the calibration site, where the risk is low, before anything touches gmw.com. You'd seen a GPT-style search demo from a friend's startup and liked the idea, but you'd rather build it with someone you trust than a big unproven vendor. And you asked for one concrete thing: a “drone calibration” article to turn the calibration site into its own traffic channel.

So before this proposal, I built the thing you described. The AI search assistant is already live on your staging site — go click the chat bubble in the bottom-right of any page. Ask it the question your current search fails on, “what probe for double pulse testing,” and watch it answer with the right GMW products. That's the “toe in the water,” running, on your own site, with the live site untouched.

Try it now — it's live

The assistant is on every page of your staging site: gmwdev.wpenginepowered.com — bottom-right chat bubble. Seeded with real GMW catalog data; nothing on the live site changed.

Where GMW stands — and what's changing

Your main site wins on Google. The next race is who AI recommends.

Seven years in, the fundamentals are working. The opportunity is two-fold: a second site that's under-using its potential, and a brand-new way customers are searching.

Strong & steady
gmw.com ranks well and the link-building we run keeps it there — sustained traffic, no new articles required. We protect this; we don't disrupt it.
Under-tapped
gmwcalibration.com can stand on its own as a traffic channel — “drone calibration” is exactly the kind of growth term with real customer demand and little competition.
The new front
Engineers now ask ChatGPT & AI search “what probe for X” before they Google. Today those answers rarely name GMW. That's winnable — and most competitors aren't even trying yet.

The thread running through all three: your products are excellent and your expertise is deep — the gap is purely how findable that is, by Google and now by AI. That's our job.

Three ways forward — pick one, or stack them

What we can do, in plain terms

These are independent — you can start with the smallest and grow, exactly the “prove it on the calibration site first” path you wanted. Honest recommendation at the bottom.

01

The AI Search Assistant

Already live on staging

The “wow” your customers feel — and the one you've already seen working.

  • Take the live prototype to production: ingest your full catalog, datasheets and PDFs so it answers anything — “5204,” “1 G at 10 mm,” not just a seeded set.
  • Tune the tone and answer style to GMW, the way you flagged on the call.
  • Roll out on the calibration site first to prove it, then to gmw.com when you're ready — live site never at risk.
  • It replaces a keyword search that returns nothing for real engineering questions.
Production build: ~$4,500–6,000 one-time (full-catalog ingest + tuning + embed) · then ~$400/mo to run & keep current · the staging demo you're using is on us
02

The Drone-Calibration Article

The quick win

Exactly what you asked for — the fastest yes, and a real test of the calibration channel.

  • A genuinely useful, search-built article targeting “drone calibration” and the related terms engineers actually type.
  • Written for gmwcalibration.com, linking back to the main site — turning the cal site into a standalone draw.
  • Plus the link outreach to promote it — earning the links that make the article actually rank, the same article-plus-outreach package we've delivered for you before.
  • Built to be quoted by AI answer engines too, not just Google — the same dual-purpose approach as the assistant.
$1,500 per article, including link outreach · consistent with the articles we've delivered for you in the past
03

SEO + AI-Search Growth Program

The compounding play

Evolve the SEO we already run into SEO plus AI search — across both domains.

  • Your current link-building on gmw.com continues — we protect the rankings you have.
  • Add a content engine on gmwcalibration.com to build it into a real traffic channel (drone calibration is page one of that plan).
  • AI-search optimization (AEO): structure your catalog and content so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI name GMW when engineers ask — the new front, before competitors wake up to it.
  • Monthly reporting that now tracks AI visibility, not just Google rankings.
From $1,500/mo expansion of your current engagement · scales with how aggressively you want to grow the cal site + AI presence
My honest recommendation
Say yes to the article today — it's the fastest yes, it's what you asked for, and it tests the channel. Greenlight the assistant to production — it's the thing your customers will feel, and it's already half-built on your site. Then grow into the program once the cal site proves out. Start small, exactly the way you wanted.
How we keep it safe

The live site is never the guinea pig.

Everything new gets proven on the calibration site or a staging copy first — which is exactly why the assistant went onto gmwdev, not gmw.com. You review it against real customer questions before a single change reaches the site your business runs on. Measured, reversible, your pace. That's the “dip a toe in” you described, built into how we work.

Why us — you already know

Seven years, and now AI-native.

You don't need a pitch on whether we deliver — the SEO that keeps gmw.com ranking is ours, month after month. What's new is that we've rebuilt around AI: the assistant on your staging site, live in days, is the proof. The steadiness of a long partner, with the newest playbook.

Where do you want to start?

Reply with which track(s) you want — the article alone is a one-word yes, and the assistant is already live for you to play with. Whenever you're back from travel, a quick call and we'll scope the exact pieces. No rush, no pressure; the cal site and the staging assistant are yours to test in the meantime.

One honest question to confirm: is the calibration site aimed at customers who buy your calibration service, or engineers calibrating their own gear? It shapes the keywords, and I want to target the right ones.
